Search by a name

To search for a species by name, simply enter a sub-string within a moth's name. For example, if you were to enter the search term "oak", the results would list examples such as Oak Beauty or Cloaked Minor.

Search by Bradley & Fletcher number

Species can also be searched by using the Bradley & Fletcher numbering system. If you know the number, simply enter it in the relevant search option.

Search by flight time

To search for a species by flight time, use the drop down menu and select the desired month.

Search alphabetically

If you are struggling to identify a species then use this option to list species by the starting character in their name. Results can be displayed either by text or thumbnails.
